i really have nothing much to blog about, but i realize this is the place where Stace gets all my news since she doesn't do fb.
i am subbing 2-3 times a week, and i enjoy that. sometimes i wish it was a little more often, but i make do. school work is keeping me busy, too. i cannot WAIT to be done with that. i almost interviewed for a long-term sub position, but i realized this is just not the right time of year. it would be great to get one next semester, but right now is just not good. too much going on around me. i think things will be smoother in February. we'll see if my intuition is on or off. ask me come February.
i am watching The Office over and over and over. when there is no cable, this is what i do. i have watched every season at least 6 times since i moved back to Salem. sad, huh? geesh. i have it on when i am doing mundane things, like homework. hahahaha!
there is this one boy in a third grade class who reminds me of Erica Martin to a T! (not the Salem one but the Carlsbad one... yes, i have two Erica Martins i know.) they could definitely be related. he's even funny like her. crack up. he has not, however, asked me a "would you rather" questions. if he does, i will video it and send it to everyone who knows her. it's strange. like twins, almost, but he's a boy and a lot younger so it's impossible.......... i think.
can't think of anything else at this moment. i will do my best to update here. i need to get more pictures!

marathon thoughts
The marathon is next week, as in a week from tomorrow. I will be starting a week from tomorrow at 7:15 am, once I actually cross the start line. A MARATHON! I NEVER would have thought I'd be doing a marathon. Seriously. Ask anyone I know! I am NOT running the whole thing. I am a proud walker. I walk and jog slowly - affectionately called slogging - slow jogging. Good, huh?
Here's my thoughts - I am nervous and excited but more nervous. I tried to train well, and I have been told that this training will make me successful. I didn't skimp and I didn't miss. I didn't get lazy! It's really a miracle, not in the Jesus sense, but more of an unbelievable sense. It's 26.2 miles. I will be out there for at least 6 hours, if not more, so if you've nothing to do, come on down and cheer us on! I'm hoping for good, cool weather! You can pray for that, too.
I am blessed to have this opportunity because I am healthy enough to be able to do an event of this magnitude. There are people who couldn't do this right now but would really want to, so I am blessed! Some of you will say I am crazy, but you'd be wrong. It's an amazing feeling to say that I am going to walk 10 miles tomorrow morning, which will add up to a total of 22 miles for this week. Next week I will walk a total of 35.2!! And, I am not sore, I'm not overly tired and I feel wonderfully healthy. Marathon people have really been hiding how great it is to be a marathoner! I will be an official marathoner in 8 days. BOO YA!
